After ten years with the punk rock group Carving, Mat Bastard (singer) started Skip the Use in 2007 with new musicians. This new band full of fiery energy gives their audience catchy melodies and fortifying guitar riffs. Skip The Use hit the studio after building a solid live reputation. Skip's music is a driving mixture of rock, punk and disco. American critics often compare them to the gnarly electro-rock collective Block Party. Our featured track "Give Me Your Life" is the epitome of their wicked ensemble. In September 2011, Skip the Use released the EP “Sound From The Shadow” with 5 unreleased tracks. We'll be anxiously waiting for the main album to be released by Universal in 2012.
